Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering for 'The Gardening Scheme', are fit and enjoy gardening and want to act as a mentor, then please take part in this growing service which brings health and well being to those in need in your local community. This is currently a three year Scheme which started in July 2009 and is funded by West Berkshire PCT Partnership Development Fund and Wokingham Borough Council.

Our volunteers and supervisors are a friendly team of people who work together with adults with stress and common mental health challenges, maintaining older people's gardens. If you are interested, please select an Information Sheet and Volunteer Application Form. Please note that volunteers to the Scheme will be required to undergo an Enhanced CRB check.
