A Healthy Eating Workshop aimed at men over 50 will run at the Crescent Centre in Earley on Friday mornings starting on December 3. The workshops, which are free, will run for 8 weeks from 10:00 until 11:30. Participants will be shown a variety of delicious, easy, healthy recipes by Isabella Hughes, and sample the food produced. Be prepared to get involved in the cooking preparation and also sample the recipes.

Recent participants in the Healthy Eating Workshop, all men over 50, pictured above right, won the Wokingham Borough Council Learner Group of the Year award. They won a cheque for £200 kindly donated by St James’s Place Partnership, which they will use to continue their group cooking.

Healthy Eating Family Workshops aimed at children over 5 accompanied by an adult will start on November 20 for 3 weeks.  There will be 2 sessions each Saturday – one running 09:30 – 10:45 and the other 11:15 – 12:30. The first week will be themed breakfast, then lunch and the last, dinner. Isabella is also currently running an all ladies Healthy Eating Workshop.
